Key Responsibilities for Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst:

- Assist in due diligence activities, including reviewing financial statements, identifying risks, and conducting market research

- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities or risks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or mergers and acquisitions
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Finance, MBA, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA
- Experience working with mergers and acquisitions in the banking or finance industry
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Compensation & Benefits:
The Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst position at Square (Block) offers a competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
