Required Qualifications: - Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) or equivalent qualification. - Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery setting. - Sound knowledge of early years curriculum, safeguarding practices, and regulatory requirements. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage a diverse team. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with stakeholders effectively. Desired Skills: - Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services. - Experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives and achieving positive outcomes. - Knowledge of child development theories and practices to enhance learning experiences. - Ability to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate resilience under pressure. - First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications to ensure the well-being of children. Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for the Nursery Manager position at the Department for Education in Southend-on-Sea is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
