Key Responsibilities for Painter & Decorator: - Prepare and paint various surfaces including walls, woodwork, metal, etc. - Apply paint or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, or rollers - Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material - Select the correct materials and tools for each project - Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before painting - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment Required Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator in the construction industry - Knowledge of painting techniques and materials - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship - Health and Safety certification (CSCS card) is preferred Desired Skills: - Experience with wallpapering and other decorative finishes - Knowledge of different paint types and their applications - Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients - Time management skills to meet project deadlines - Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies Compensation & Benefits: The annual salary range for the Painter & Decorator position at Local Construction Firms is between £22,000 to £28,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
