Key Responsibilities For Payroll Manager:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for multiple clients
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to payroll
- Process payroll adjustments, deductions, and garnishments accurately
- Handle payroll tax filings and resolve any payroll tax issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to address client payroll inquiries and concerns
- Stay updated on payroll best practices and industry trends
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and management
- Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
Desired Skills:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
- Experience working in a professional services firm or accounting environment
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of ADP or other payroll processing systems
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Payroll Manager position at CBIZ in Phoenix, Arizona is $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
