Key Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist:
- Process and manage payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues
- Collaborate with HR to update employee records and changes in payroll
- Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as needed
- Stay updated on payroll best practices and industry trends
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Desired Skills:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
- Experience with ADP or other payroll systems
- Knowledge of tax laws related to payroll
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Payroll Specialist position at BlackRock in Miami, Florida is $50,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
