Key Responsibilities for Pharmacist:
- Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with prescriptions
- Conducting medication reviews and providing advice to residents and care staff
- Monitoring medication storage and handling to ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimise resident care plans
- Providing guidance on the safe and effective use of medications
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to review resident care
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognised institution
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Proven experience working as a pharmacist in a clinical setting
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
- Experience working in a care home or similar healthcare setting
- Knowledge of electronic prescription systems
- Ability to provide training and support to care staff
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
