Key Responsibilities For Portfolio Manager:
- Develop and implement investment strategies to maximize portfolio performance
- Conduct financial analysis and research to identify market trends and opportunities
- Monitor and manage portfolio risk exposure and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align investment objectives with business goals
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior management and clients
- Stay informed about economic developments and industry trends to make informed decisions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or progress towards completion
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio management or related financial role
- Strong understanding of investment principles, financial markets, and risk management
- Proficiency in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and portfolio optimization techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Finance or related field
- Experience with alternative investments such as private equity or hedge funds
- Familiarity with investment software and tools for portfolio analysis
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Portfolio Manager position at Great-West Lifeco in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada is between $90,000 to $120,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
