Position Summary
Alcoa is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join our remote team. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supplier management, and negotiation, with the ability to collaborate across departments to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and prevent shortages.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical procurement practices.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Resolve supplier disputes and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 13 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in negotiation, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor relations.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
Required Education
Other relevant certifications or degrees in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Desired Skills
- Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector, preferably within aluminum or related industries.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in procurement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Compensation & Benefits
Alcoa offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $62,000 to $88,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
