Key Responsibilities For Property Accountant:

- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Coordinate with property managers to analyze variances and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor property budgets and assist in forecasting financial performance
- Prepare annual property budgets and assist in the development of financial strategies
- Support financial reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure adherence to tax regulations

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:
- CPA certification or progress towards certification
- Experience with Yardi or other property management software
- Knowledge of tax implications related to property transactions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Property Accountant position at H&R Block in Boston, Massachusetts is $60,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
