Position Summary

The QA Analyst will play a pivotal role in validating the performance, reliability, and scalability of Meta’s core applications. Working remotely, you will design and execute comprehensive load, stress, and performance testing strategies, monitor system behavior under real‑world conditions, and provide actionable insights to engineering teams. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, deep expertise in performance testing, and the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute performance test plans, including load, stress, and endurance scenarios for web and mobile services.
  • Design realistic test data and user behavior models to simulate peak traffic conditions.
  • Monitor system metrics during test execution, capture performance logs, and generate detailed reports.
  • Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, latency issues, and resource constraints; recommend remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and infrastructure teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish performance baselines and benchmarks, and track improvements over successive releases.
  • Participate in incident post‑mortems, providing performance‑related insights and preventive recommendations.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging testing tools and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 to 13 years of professional experience in quality assurance, with a focus on performance testing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in load testing, stress testing, test scenario creation, performance monitoring, benchmarking, and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for test automation and data generation.
  • Experience interpreting system metrics (CPU, memory, network, I/O) and using monitoring platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven approach to identifying performance issues.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Knowledge of web protocols, APIs, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Certification in performance testing or related disciplines (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing).

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $89,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
