Key Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:
- Undertaking cost analysis for construction projects, ensuring value for money and cost control.
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Preparing tender documents and contracts.
- Evaluating and negotiating variations in contracts.
- Advising on procurement strategy.
- Managing and reporting on project costs.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards chartered status.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Quantity Surveyor position at Morgan Sindall in Edinburgh, Scotland, is between £40,000 to £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
