Key Responsibilities for Radiology Technologist:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various imaging equipment such as X-ray, MRI, CT scan, and ultrasound
- Position patients correctly to obtain the required images for diagnosis
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during imaging procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Medical Radiography from an accredited institution
- Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and the Quebec Order of Technologists in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Radiology Technologist in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Radiology Technologist position at Fraser Health Authority in Laval, Quebec, Canada is between $60,000 to $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
