Position Summary
Aha! is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our growing Legal team. As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring Aha! products and services comply with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to data privacy, security, and consumer protection. This is a fully remote position, and you will work from your home office anywhere in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze existing and emerging regulatory requirements related to data privacy, security, and consumer protection.
- Conduct regulatory impact assessments for new and existing Aha! products and services.
- Develop and maintain regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into product development and marketing strategies.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and audits.
- Maintain a current knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development and delivery of employee training on regulatory compliance topics.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Aha! Legal team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Law, Regulatory Affairs, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
- Must be located in the United States.
Technical Requirements
As a fully remote employee, you will need to maintain a suitable home office environment. This includes:
- A dedicated workspace free from distractions.
- A reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload).
- A computer meeting Aha!'s minimum technical specifications (provided upon offer).
- A webcam and headset for virtual meetings.
- Ability to work during core business hours (Pacific Time is preferred, but flexible depending on experience).
Desired Skills
- Experience working in the software or SaaS industry.
- Certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
- Experience with contract review and negotiation.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and regulations.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this REMOTE position is $85,000 - $115,000, depending on experience and location.
