Position Summary:
As a Remote Help Desk Support at GitHub, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and technical assistance to our users. This fully remote position offers you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while supporting our global customer base with their technical inquiries and issue resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, or phone in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide step-by-step guidance to resolve customer problems
- Document customer interactions and solutions accurately in our CRM system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
- Contribute to the improvement of internal knowledge base articles for customer self-service

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer support or help desk role
- Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with customers
- Proficiency in using help desk software and CRM tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space

Technical Requirements:
- Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps for download and 10 Mbps for upload
- Proficient in using video conferencing tools for virtual meetings
- Comfortable working within US time zones (Pacific to Eastern)

Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with software development tools or coding languages
- Multilingual proficiency for supporting a diverse customer base
- Experience in remote team collaboration using tools like Slack, Zoom, and Jira

Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $45,000 to $60,000 for this remote position, commensurate with experience. In addition, you will enjoy benefits such as a home office stipend or equipment provision, flexible working hours based on US time zones, virtual onboarding process, and access to remote team collaboration tools. We also organize virtual team building activities and occasional travel requirements for team meetups.
