Position Summary:
As a Remote IT Support Specialist at Atlassian, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to remote employees across the organization. You will troubleshoot IT issues, resolve software and hardware problems, and ensure seamless operation of remote systems to support our virtual team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT support requests from remote employees in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity
- Install and configure software applications and updates remotely
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement IT security protocols for remote work environments
- Provide remote training and guidance to employees on IT tools and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role in a remote work setting
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, software, and hardware troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide remote support effectively
- Proficiency in remote desktop applications and remote IT tools
- High-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment
Technical Requirements:
- Home office setup with a quiet workspace and ergonomic chair
- Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps for seamless remote work
- Comfortable working in a virtual team environment with flexible working hours
- Ability to work in Eastern or Pacific time zones to align with team collaboration hours
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Jira
Desired Skills:
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+
- Experience with cloud-based IT solutions and remote server management
- Familiarity with IT security best practices for remote work environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing IT needs
- Proven track record of successful remote team collaboration and communication
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 based on experience and qualifications
