Position Summary:
As a Remote Technical Program Manager at Square, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of technical projects in a remote work environment. You will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for technical initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Identify and mitigate risks while proactively addressing project challenges
- Communicate project status updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Foster a collaborative and productive remote team environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager in a remote work setup
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote team collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results in a virtual environment
Technical Requirements:
- Dedicated home office setup conducive to remote work
- High-speed internet connection to support video conferencing and virtual collaboration
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones with flexible working hours
- Proficiency in using remote team collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Jira
Desired Skills:
- PMP or Agile certification is a plus
- Experience with remote team building activities and virtual communication best practices

Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 for the Remote Technical Program Manager position at Square. In addition to market-rate compensation, we provide remote-specific benefits such as a home office stipend or equipment, flexible working hours, virtual onboarding, and opportunities for virtual team building activities. Occasional travel may be required for team meetups.
