Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Data Analyst - Predictive Modeling to join our growing Data & Analytics team at Meta. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced statistical models to predict future trends and inform strategic decision-making across various business areas. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to identify opportunities for improvement and drive business impact through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain predictive models using statistical techniques such as regression, time series analysis, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Collect, clean, and prepare large datasets for analysis, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Communicate complex findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences through clear and concise visualizations and presentations.
  • Evaluate model performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in data science and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.
  • Document all analytical processes and methodologies for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the US.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a remote setting.

Technical Requirements

To ensure a productive remote work experience, the following technical requirements are essential:

  • A dedicated home office space free from distractions.
  • A reliable, high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
  • Company-provided laptop and necessary software licenses.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing tools such as Zoom or Google Meet.
  • Ability to work during standard business hours in the Pacific Time Zone (PT).

Desired Skills

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with A/B testing and causal inference.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.
  • Experience in a specific industry relevant to Meta's business (e.g., social media, advertising).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with remote colleagues.

Compensation & Benefits
