Key Responsibilities for Revenue Accountant:
- Analyze financial data and prepare revenue recognition schedules in accordance with GAAP
- Review contracts and agreements to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues and discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to revenue
- Participate in audits and provide support for revenue-related inquiries
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or in the process of obtaining CPA license
- 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting or related role
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and revenue recognition standards
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems
- Knowledge of industry-specific revenue recognition guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Revenue Accountant position at KPMG in Portland, Maine is $60,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience.
