Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Analyst - Data Engineering to join our growing Data Engineering team. This is a fully remote position, and you will have the opportunity to work from anywhere in the USA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data-informed decisions by developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, building dashboards, and conducting in-depth analyses to understand user behavior and product performance. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify key metrics, build data products and provide actionable insights that will shape the future of Figma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into product usage and user behavior.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define key metrics and ensure data quality.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation and data dictionaries.
  • Proactively identify and address data quality issues.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate with remote colleagues across different time zones.
  • Contribute to the development of our data engineering best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a data engineering or product analytics role.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, Luigi, dbt).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Comfortable working with a geographically distributed team, adhering to communication guidelines.

Technical Requirements

As a remote employee at Figma, you will be responsible for providing a suitable home office environment. The following technical requirements are essential:

  • High-speed internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps and download speed of 50 Mbps.
  • A dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • A reliable computer with sufficient processing power and memory to run necessary software.
  • A webcam and microphone for video conferencing.
  • While we embrace flexibility, some overlap with Pacific Time (PT) working hours is preferred for effective collaboration with the core team.
  • Figma provides a one-time home office stipend to help you set up your workspace.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this Senior Product Analyst - Data Engineering (Remote) position is $150,000 - $200,000, depending on experience and location within the USA.
