Position Summary

Volkswagen Group is seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects, develop test cases, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure software stability after updates or modifications.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of quality assurance processes and testing frameworks.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging testing technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance processes and testing methodologies (manual and automated).
  • Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools.
  • Strong skills in test case development and execution.
  • Familiarity with regression testing and performance testing.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication.

Required Education

Others: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Compensation & Benefits

Volkswagen Group offers a competitive compensation package, including an annual salary range of $62,000 to $82,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements.
