Position Summary Gunderson Dettmer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this fully remote role, you will be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of our mobile platforms, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for our clients and internal users. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and deploy high-quality, scalable, and reliable mobile applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive and performant user interfaces for our mobile applications using modern frontend technologies. Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate user stories and wireframes into functional and visually appealing features. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot and debug issues across different mobile devices and platforms. Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends, and proactively identify opportunities to improve our codebase and development processes. Contribute to the development of our component library and style guide to ensure consistency across our mobile applications. Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment. Ensure adherence to security best practices and data privacy standards. Participate in virtual team building activities to foster a strong remote team culture. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a focus on mobile platforms. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React Native, or Flutter. Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX. Experience with RESTful APIs and mobile data fetching techniques. Experience with mobile testing frameworks and methodologies. Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote setting. Must be located within the United States. Technical Requirements As a fully remote employee, you will need to maintain a suitable home office environment and meet the following technical requirements: A dedicated workspace free from distractions. A reliable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload). A modern computer with sufficient processing power and memory to run development tools. Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this fully remote Staff Frontend Engineer - Mobile Platforms position is $160,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience and location.
