Key Responsibilities for State & Local Tax Analyst (SALT):
- Conduct research and analysis on state and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance for clients
- Prepare and review state and local tax returns, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax filings
- Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize clients' state and local tax positions
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to provide guidance on state and local tax matters
- Stay up-to-date on legislative changes and industry trends impacting state and local tax compliance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in state and local tax compliance or consulting
- Strong understanding of state and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax research tools and software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA or MST certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
The State & Local Tax Analyst (SALT) position at CLA in Fargo, North Dakota offers a competitive annual salary range of $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.
