Key Responsibilities for Stock Clerk:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments
- Stock shelves and display areas with merchandise
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management
- Ensure products are properly labeled and priced
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom and store
- Assist customers with locating products and provide excellent service
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Experience operating a forklift or pallet jack
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Bilingual in English and French
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Stock Clerk position at Sobeys in Gatineau, Quebec, is between $28,000 to $34,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
