Key Responsibilities For Store Manager:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, sales performance, and customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability goals
- Lead and motivate a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Drive initiatives to enhance the overall shopping experience and promote customer loyalty
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in the grocery or pharmacy industry
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team management and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and retail management software
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French
- Post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and visual presentation standards
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Familiarity with local market trends and customer preferences
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Store Manager position at Metro Inc. in Longueuil, Quebec, is between $60,000 and $80,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
