Key Responsibilities for Supply Chain Manager:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory management, logistics, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and streamline supply chain workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards to uphold operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations and driving process enhancements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools to optimize processes and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
- Experience with implementing supply chain best practices, such as lean principles or Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs compliance.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and lead change management initiatives effectively.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Supply Chain Manager position at WestJet in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, is between $90,000 to $110,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
