Key Responsibilities for Tax Accountant:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies and provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions
- Analyze financial data to calculate tax provisions and deferred taxes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clients in various industries with tax-related matters
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice to clients
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or in the process of obtaining
- 2+ years of experience in tax accounting or relevant field
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field
- Experience with tax planning and consulting services
- Knowledge of international tax laws and transfer pricing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Tax Accountant position at PwC in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
