Key Responsibilities For Tax Advisor:
- Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on a range of tax matters related to investments and financial products
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise tax efficiency for the organisation
- Liaise with external tax advisors, HMRC, and other regulatory bodies on tax-related issues
- Assist in tax reporting and ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and provide recommendations to mitigate tax risks
Required Qualifications:
- A professional qualification in taxation (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) is essential
- Proven experience working in a tax advisory role within the banking and finance industry
- In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, including VAT, corporation tax, and capital gains tax
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
Desired Skills:
- Experience in international tax matters and transfer pricing
- Knowledge of tax implications related to investment products such as ISAs, pensions, and trusts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Tax Advisor position at Schroders in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom is £40,000 to £55,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
