Key Responsibilities for Tax Manager:
- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and strategy for clients
- Manage a team of tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to provide clients with up-to-date advice
- Develop and implement tax-saving strategies to optimize clients' financial positions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive tax solutions tailored to client needs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or related field
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Proven leadership experience in managing tax projects and teams
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field
- Experience working in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department
- Proficiency in tax software and financial management systems
- Ability to adapt to changing tax laws and industry trends
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Tax Manager position at CBIZ in Phoenix, Arizona is $90,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
