Key Responsibilities for Train Driver:
- Safely operate trains in accordance with all relevant regulations and company policies
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during journeys
- Adhere to timetables and maintain punctuality
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of the train
- Communicate effectively with control centres and other staff members
- Respond to emergencies or incidents as required
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to train operations
Required Qualifications:
- Valid train driver's licence
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification
- Good understanding of railway safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience as a train driver
- Knowledge of specific railway routes and networks
- Familiarity with train control systems
- First Aid certification
- Customer service experience
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
