Key Responsibilities for Travel Agent:
- Assist guests with travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities
- Provide recommendations on destinations, attractions, and travel packages based on guests' preferences and budget
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to travel bookings in a timely and professional manner
- Stay updated on travel trends, visa requirements, and safety protocols to ensure accurate and reliable information for guests
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience and exceed customer expectations
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field
- Proven experience as a Travel Agent or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of travel booking systems and software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling travel arrangements
Desired Skills:
- Certification in Travel and Tourism
- Proficiency in a second language, especially Mandarin or Spanish
- Experience in selling luxury travel packages
- Familiarity with local attractions and activities in Vancouver and surrounding areas
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Travel Agent position at Four Seasons Hotels in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is between $45,000 to $55,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
