Position Summary

As a UX/UI Designer at Hochschild Mining, you will play a pivotal role in designing intuitive and visually compelling digital experiences for our internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centered designs that enhance usability, accessibility, and engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring alignment with Hochschild Mining’s brand identity.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to refine designs and improve user experience.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional designs.
  • Ensure responsive design principles are applied to create seamless experiences across devices.
  • Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries.
  • Stay updated on emerging UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 9 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably in a corporate or tech-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in UI design principles and best practices, including typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Expertise in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and prototyping tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining effective communication with team members.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects and problem-solving skills.

Required Education

A Post graduate Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies and data-driven design decisions.
  • Knowledge of animation and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Hochschild Mining offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $62,000 to $121,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements.
