Key Responsibilities For Plumber  
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, and venting systems in new construction and renovation projects in accordance with Ontario Building Code and applicable standards.  
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout, materials, and installation procedures.  
- Perform pipe threading, soldering, welding, and use of modern pipe‑fitting tools and equipment on residential, commercial, and institutional sites.  
- Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and system commissioning to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.  
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve on‑site issues.  
- Maintain accurate daily logs, material requisitions, and job‑site documentation in Graham Construction’s reporting system.  
- Adhere to the company’s safety program, participate in toolbox talks, and report hazards or incidents promptly.  
- Provide mentorship and on‑the‑job training to apprentices and junior plumbers as required.
Required Qualifications  
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship program (Red Seal certification preferred) and a valid Ontario plumber’s licence.  
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial or multi‑family construction plumbing.  
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, CSA standards, and provincial health and safety regulations.  
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.  
- Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record and eligibility to operate a company vehicle.  
- Physical ability to perform manual labour, lift up to 50 kg, and work at heights or confined spaces as required.  
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Skills  
- Experience with green building practices and low‑flow plumbing fixtures.  
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools such as Revit or Navisworks.  
- Certification in WHMIS, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Protection.  
- Proven track record of cost‑effective material selection and waste reduction.  
- Ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing systems and propose innovative solutions.  
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to obtain additional certifications.
Compensation & Benefits  
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $68,000 to $85,000 CAD, commensurate with experience, certifications, and skill level.
