Key Responsibilities for Beauty Advisor  
- Greet customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assess their beauty and personal‑care needs.  
- Provide product knowledge and personalized recommendations for cosmetics, skin‑care, hair‑care and fragrance items available in the store.  
- Demonstrate product usage, conduct mini‑make‑over sessions and offer styling tips to enhance the customer experience.  
- Maintain visual merchandising standards for the beauty department, ensuring shelves are stocked, organized and presented according to Home Depot brand guidelines.  
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system, handle returns and exchanges in compliance with store policies.  
- Meet or exceed individual and department sales targets while contributing to overall store performance.  
- Participate in inventory counts, receive shipments, and perform regular stock replenishment to minimize out‑of‑stock situations.  
- Uphold health, safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of cosmetics and personal‑care products.  
- Attend product training sessions, vendor demonstrations and store meetings to stay current on new launches and industry trends.  
- Resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to the department manager when necessary.  
Required Qualifications  
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in retail, cosmetology or a related field is an asset.  
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in beauty, cosmetics or personal‑care sales.  
- Strong verbal communication skills in English; French language ability is considered an advantage.  
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as required by store operations.  
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).  
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional appearance.  
Desired Skills  
- Certified cosmetology or beauty advisor training (e.g., Canadian Beauty Association certification).  
- Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, inventory software).  
- Knowledge of current beauty trends, product ingredients and skin‑type assessments.  
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse customer base.  
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support cross‑departmental initiatives.  
- Problem‑solving mindset and capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced retail setting.  
Compensation & Benefits  
- Annual salary range: $32,000 – $38,000 CAD, based on experience and demonstrated performance.  
- Eligibility for quarterly performance‑based incentives and store bonus programs.
