Key Responsibilities For Construction Manager  
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects from mobilization through close‑out, ensuring compliance with design intent, budget, schedule and quality standards.  
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans and cost control reports; proactively identify variances and implement corrective actions.  
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site personnel, conducting regular performance reviews, safety audits and progress meetings.  
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, design teams, municipal authorities and internal stakeholders, providing clear communication and timely updates.  
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, negotiate contracts and change orders, and ensure all documentation meets IBI Group and regulatory requirements.  
- Enforce occupational health and safety policies in accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and IBI Group’s internal safety program.  
- Prepare and present project status reports, risk assessments and lessons‑learned documentation for senior management and project owners.  
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including value engineering and sustainability practices.
Required Qualifications  
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline; a professional designation such as PMP, CCTO or CEng is an asset.  
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience managing commercial, institutional or large‑scale infrastructure construction projects in Ontario.  
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with demonstrated expertise in contract administration and cost control.  
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, construction legislation, labour agreements and environmental regulations.  
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence and ability to travel to job sites within the Windsor‑Essex region.  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholder groups.  
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction documentation tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
Desired Skills  
- Experience with sustainable construction practices and LEED or similar green building certifications.  
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital construction technologies.  
- Leadership experience in multicultural or multi‑disciplinary teams.  
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven approach to decision making.  
- Fluency in French is considered a plus for bilingual client engagements.
Compensation & Benefits  
- Competitive annual salary range: $95,000 – $125,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
