Key Responsibilities For Primary School Teacher The Primary School Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons to primary school students at Further Education Colleges. The main job duties will include: • Planning and preparing engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities • Delivering lessons to students, using a range of teaching methods and resources to promote learning and achievement • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues • Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that meet the requirements of the curriculum • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school policies and procedures • Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities to maintain and improve teaching skills and knowledge Required Qualifications To be considered for the Primary School Teacher position at Further Education Colleges, applicants must have: • A degree in Education or a related field, such as Primary Education or Childhood Studies • A teaching qualification, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or a Bachelor of Education (BEd) • Registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) • A minimum of two years' teaching experience in a primary school setting • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Desired Skills In addition to the required qualifications, Further Education Colleges is looking for applicants with: • Experience of teaching students with special educational needs • Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning • Experience of working in a multicultural and multilingual environment • Ability to speak more than one language, particularly Gaelic or other community languages Compensation & Benefits The salary range for the Primary School Teacher position at Further Education Colleges is £28,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
