Our office in Bournemouth, South West England, is a key location for our business, and we are now seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. Key Responsibilities For Systems Administrator The Systems Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. The main responsibilities of this role will include: • Installing, configuring and maintaining computer systems, including hardware, software and networks • Providing technical support and assistance to employees, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues • Managing and maintaining our IT security systems, including firewalls, antivirus software and access controls • Monitoring system performance and identifying areas for improvement • Collaborating with other teams, including development and engineering, to ensure that our IT systems meet business needs • Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, including those related to security, backup and disaster recovery • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, and making recommendations for future developments and improvements Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: • A degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or information technology • Significant experience of working in a similar role, including experience of managing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure • Strong technical skills, including experience of working with Windows and Linux operating systems, and knowledge of networking protocols and technologies • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels Desired Skills In addition to the required qualifications, we would also like to see: • Experience of working with cloud-based technologies, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, including ITIL • Experience of working with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python • A certification in a relevant area, such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including: • A generous pension scheme, with a company contribution of up to 10% • Private medical insurance, with access to a range of healthcare benefits • A flexible benefits scheme, with options to purchase additional holiday, or to take advantage of other benefits, such as gym membership or childcare vouchers • A dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and career growth How to Apply If you are a motivated and experienced IT professional, with a passion for technology and innovation, we would like to hear from you.
