Key Responsibilities For Credit Analyst As a Credit Analyst at NatWest Group in Cambridge, you will play a crucial role in assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Conducting comprehensive credit analysis on new and existing clients, utilising financial statements, credit reports, and industry data to evaluate their credit risk profile. * Preparing detailed credit reports and recommendations for approval or decline of credit facilities, ensuring adherence to NatWest Group's credit policies and procedures. * Monitoring the credit performance of existing clients, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate action to mitigate these risks. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers and Underwriters, to ensure a seamless credit process. * Staying abreast of industry trends and developments, and applying this knowledge to enhance credit analysis and decision-making. * Contributing to the development and improvement of credit policies and procedures to ensure best practice and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications * A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field is essential. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in a credit analysis role within the financial services industry. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. * Knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices. Desired Skills * Professional qualifications such as the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) would be advantageous. * Experience in using credit analysis software and tools. * Knowledge of industry-specific sectors and trends. * Strong project management skills. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum.
