Key Responsibilities For Dental Nurse As a Dental Nurse at Boots Pharmacy in Derby, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. Your key responsibilities will include: · Preparing patients for dental procedures, including taking medical histories and explaining treatment plans · Assisting dentists and hygienists during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a clean and safe environment · Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including clinical notes and treatment plans · Providing excellent customer service, including answering patient queries and resolving any concerns · Maintaining a clean and tidy surgery, including sterilising equipment and disposing of waste · Working effectively as part of a team to achieve high standards of patient care and customer service Required Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: · A recognised dental nursing qualification, such as the National Diploma in Dental Nursing or the Certificate in Dental Nursing · Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) · A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals · The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends Desired Skills In addition to the required qualifications, we are looking for a Dental Nurse with: · Experience of working in a dental surgery or healthcare environment · Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology · Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure · A friendly and approachable manner, with the ability to put patients at ease · A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to attend training and development opportunities Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary range of £23,000 to £28,000, depending on experience.
