Key Responsibilities For Dispatch Coordinator As a Dispatch Coordinator at our Huddersfield site, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and timely dispatch of mail and parcels. Your key responsibilities will include: * Planning and coordinating the dispatch of mail and parcels to various destinations, adhering to strict delivery schedules and service level agreements. * Liaising with Royal Mail's network of delivery offices and transport providers to ensure efficient and timely delivery. * Monitoring and managing the movement of mail and parcels through the dispatch process, identifying and resolving any potential delays or issues. * Maintaining accurate records of dispatch activities, including tracking and tracing of items. * Collaborating with other departments, such as Sorting and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of processes. * Implementing and adhering to Royal Mail's health and safety policies and procedures. * Providing excellent customer service, responding to enquiries and resolving any issues related to dispatch. Required Qualifications * Experience in a logistics or transport environment, preferably within a dispatch or operations role. * Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers. * Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to work flexibly, including shift work and weekends as required. Desired Skills * Knowledge of Royal Mail's products and services. * Experience of using transport management systems. * Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a logistics environment. * Ability to speak additional languages would be advantageous. Compensation & Benefits The salary for this role is £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
