Key Responsibilities For Dispatch Coordinator As a Dispatch Coordinator at FirstGroup in Leicester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fleet. Your key responsibilities will include: * Coordinating and dispatching vehicles and drivers for various routes and schedules * Managing driver availability and ensuring adequate staffing levels * Monitoring vehicle locations and tracking progress against schedules * Communicating effectively with drivers, depot staff, and customers * Resolving operational issues and providing support to drivers * Maintaining accurate records and reports related to vehicle movements and driver performance * Liaising with other departments to ensure seamless operations * Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies Required Qualifications * Previous experience in a dispatch or transport coordination role * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong organisational and time management skills * Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions * Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office * Knowledge of transport regulations and industry best practices Desired Skills * Experience in the bus or coach industry * Knowledge of route planning and scheduling software * Experience in managing a team * Familiarity with telematics systems Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary package for this role, with a salary range of £22,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
