Key Responsibilities For Sous Chef
* Assist the Head Chef in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
* Oversee the preparation and cooking of all menu items, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food safety, and Hilton UK's culinary standards.
* Manage inventory and order supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising waste.
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and special promotions.
* Monitor food costs and implement cost control measures to ensure profitability.
* Participate in menu tastings and provide feedback to the Head Chef.
* Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all team members and departments within the hotel.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent in a high-volume kitchen environment.
* Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised culinary school.
* Strong knowledge of classical cooking techniques and international cuisines.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
Desired Skills
* Experience in a luxury hotel environment.
* Knowledge of Hilton UK's culinary standards and procedures.
* Proficiency in kitchen management software.

Compensation & Benefits
