Key Responsibilities For Pastoral Lead
The Pastoral Lead will play a crucial role in supporting the personal development and well-being of students in educational institutions. The key responsibilities of this role include:
    • Providing guidance and support to students, teachers, and parents on pastoral issues
    • Developing and implementing effective strategies to promote student well-being and resilience
    • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to identify and address the needs of vulnerable students
    • Leading and managing a team of pastoral support staff to ensure high-quality support services
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with external agencies, such as social services and healthcare providers, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students
    • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of pastoral support services and making recommendations for improvement
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
    • A relevant degree in education, social work, or a related field
    • A teaching qualification, such as QTS, or a recognised qualification in pastoral care
    • Significant experience of working in a pastoral role in an educational institution
    • A thorough understanding of the UK education system and the role of Ofsted in regulating and inspecting educational institutions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
Desired Skills
In addition to the required qualifications, we are looking for someone with:
    • Experience of leading and managing a team
    • A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
    • The ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to undertake training and coaching as required
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including:
