Key Responsibilities For Wait Staff The main responsibilities of the Wait Staff role include: · Providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that their dining experience is memorable and exceeds their expectations · Taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling payments in a timely and efficient manner · Maintaining a thorough knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation · Working effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness · Handling guest complaints and feedback in a professional and courteous manner · Participating in ongoing training and development to improve knowledge and skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments Required Qualifications To be considered for the Wait Staff role at InterContinental Hotels Group, you will need to have: · Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management · A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays · A basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation · The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple tables and orders simultaneously Desired Skills In addition to the required qualifications, we are looking for candidates with: · Previous experience of working with a range of food and beverage systems, including point of sale and property management systems · A knowledge of wine, beer, and other beverages, including pairing and serving suggestions · The ability to speak multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds · A passion for delivering exceptional service and exceeding guest expectations · A positive and friendly attitude, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Compensation & Benefits In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive annual salary range of £18,000 to £22,000, depending on experience.
