Key Responsibilities For Police Officer As a Police Officer with the Civil Service in Norwich, you will be responsible for: * Maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of the public. * Responding to emergency calls and incidents, assessing situations, and taking appropriate action. * Conducting investigations into criminal offences, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses and suspects. * Enforcing traffic laws and regulations, and promoting road safety. * Building positive relationships with the local community, engaging with residents, and addressing their concerns. * Collaborating with other agencies, such as social services and healthcare providers, to address complex social issues. * Keeping accurate and detailed records of incidents, investigations, and other police activities. * Participating in training and development activities to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge. Required Qualifications * You must be a British citizen, a Commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or a national of a European Economic Area (EEA) country. * You must be at least 18 years old. * You must hold a full UK driving licence. * You must be physically fit and able to pass a medical examination. * You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Compensation & Benefits The salary for this role is £24,780 - £30,540 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
