Key Responsibilities For Taxi Driver The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a taxi in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include: * Driving a taxi to transport passengers to their desired destinations in a safe and timely manner * Providing excellent customer service, including assisting passengers with their luggage and responding to their queries * Maintaining the taxi in a clean and tidy condition, including reporting any defects or issues to the management team * Working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays * Complying with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to health and safety, licensing, and disability access * Maintaining accurate records, including journey logs and payment receipts Required Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: * A valid UK driving licence, with a minimum of 3 years' driving experience * A valid taxi driver's licence, issued by the local authority * A good knowledge of the local area, including road networks and traffic patterns * Excellent communication and customer service skills * The ability to work independently and as part of a team * A commitment to providing safe and reliable transportation services Desired Skills While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are desirable: * Previous experience as a taxi driver, preferably with a large transport company * Knowledge of disability access and equal opportunities legislation * First aid training and certification * Basic IT skills, including the use of mobile apps and electronic payment systems * A commitment to ongoing learning and development, including attending training courses and workshops Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this role is £25,000 - £30,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
