Key Responsibilities For Freight Forwarder The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of freight on behalf of our customers. This will involve working closely with our network of carriers, warehouses, and other stakeholders to ensure that shipments are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. The main duties of the role will include: · Coordinating and booking freight shipments with carriers and warehouses · Preparing and processing customs documentation and other regulatory requirements · Managing and tracking shipments from origin to destination · Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer queries and concerns · Collaborating with other teams within FedEx to ensure seamless delivery of services · Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that may impact freight shipments Required Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following qualifications and experience: · A minimum of 2 years of experience in a freight forwarding or logistics role · A good understanding of UK and international customs regulations and procedures · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other logistics software systems · A valid UK driving licence (desirable but not essential) Desired Skills In addition to the required qualifications, the following skills and experience would be desirable: · Knowledge of FedEx systems and procedures · Experience of working with a range of carriers and warehouses · Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology · A degree in logistics, transport, or a related field · Membership of a professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Compensation & Benefits The successful candidate will be offered a competitive annual salary in the range of £28,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
