Key Responsibilities For Pharmacist
As a Pharmacist at NHS Trusts, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Dispensing and supplying medications to patients, both inpatient and outpatient, ensuring accuracy and adherence to prescriptions.
* Providing expert advice and counselling to patients on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions.
* Conducting medication reviews to optimise therapy, identify potential drug-related problems, and recommend appropriate interventions.
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
* Participating in clinical governance activities, including audits, quality improvement initiatives, and medication safety programmes.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
* Staying abreast of new developments in pharmaceuticals and clinical practice, and contributing to the ongoing education and development of the pharmacy team.
Required Qualifications
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Valid driving license (for community pharmacy roles)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Proficiency in using electronic prescribing systems
Desired Skills
* Experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
* Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures
* Experience in conducting medication reviews and audits
* Participation in clinical governance activities
* Leadership and management experience
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package for this role, with a starting salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive:
