We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Banker to join our team in Plymouth, South West England. Key Responsibilities For Corporate Banker The Corporate Banker will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients, providing them with a range of banking services and products. The key responsibilities of this role include: • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, to grow our corporate client base • Providing expert advice and guidance to clients, on a range of financial products and services • Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as credit risk and product specialists, to ensure that client needs are met • Managing and mitigating risk, to ensure that our corporate lending activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments, to ensure that our corporate banking services remain competitive and innovative Required Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need to have: • A strong academic background, with a degree in a relevant subject such as finance, economics or business • Significant experience of corporate banking, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships • A deep understanding of financial markets and products, including corporate lending, treasury and risk management • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal stakeholders • A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful advice to clients Desired Skills In addition to the required qualifications, we are looking for candidates with: • Professional qualifications, such as the Chartered Banker or Chartered Financial Analyst designations • Experience of working with a range of corporate clients, including large multinational companies and smaller, family-owned businesses • A strong network of contacts in the corporate banking industry, with the ability to leverage these relationships to identify new business opportunities • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines • A strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a willingness to promote these values in the workplace Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
